Hello Potential Sponsor!

Below is the beginning of the landing page for this upcoming event with Hazen Audel. To keep the price of tickets affordable to local families, I am asking local businesses to help cover the cost of bringing the speaker to our community.

Homeschooling has increased in popularity across the nation and in our local community. While it is difficult to find hard data on the number of children homeschooled in the Walla Walla Valley, I can confidently say they are increasing each year.

By sponsoring this event, your business name, logo, and links can reach an engaged community of families who are looking to provide educational and extracurricular activities for their children.

Join Homeschooling Walla Walla and Hazen Audel for a presentation on surviving in our local area.

Come join us for an exciting in-person event at Three Acre Ranch, where we will have the privilege of hosting Hazen Audel. Get ready to be inspired by his incredible adventures and stories from around the world. This is a unique opportunity to learn from a true expert in survival and exploration. Don't miss out on this fantastic event!

Who is Hazen Audel?

This excerpt from Hazen’s website best describes him. Our family found him through his National Geographic show Primal Survivor.

“A Kootenai and Salish Native American by descent, Hazen was born and raised in Spokane, Wash., where he still lives much of the year when he’s not filming. Hazen holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Western Washington University. He has studied Botany and Zoology at Eastern Washington University and Northwest Indian College, and he has done advanced studies in Tropical Ecology at the University of Hawaii.

He speaks four languages, including English, Spanish, Bahasa, and Quichua.

From a young age, Hazen has loved plants and animals, but it was the biodiversity of the rainforest in South America that fascinated him the most. At 18, right after graduating high school, Hazen moved to the rainforest in Ecuador and started a guiding business as a way to support himself while he went to college. He ended up falling even more in love with the rainforest than he ever could’ve imagined and returned every summer for ten years. It wasn’t long before he realized that he had a true gift for understanding and explaining the landscape.

Educating came naturally to him, especially when he was sharing knowledge of a subject he was truly passionate about. After college, Hazen became a high school biology teacher where he used his own experiences to teach his students about biology and science in a manner that was exciting and natural.

Hazen's teaching style has always been to educate through adventure.”

What will we be doing?

The event will start at 10:30 a.m. with the hands on portion of the event. Hazen will give a presentation to the kids on how to create a shelter using the materials in the environment they are in. Parents are of course welcome to participate as well.

At noon, Marty and family from A Chef’s Creation will serve a hot lunch in the field. You will have an hour and a half to eat your meal and socialize with the other participants.

We will reconvene as a group at 1:30 p.m. to go on a guided hike through the pastures of Three Acre Ranch. Children and parents will be able to ask questions along the way and Hazen will point out various plants and wildlife in the area.
